The project involves permanent repair of the Toowoomba region local road network due to the 2022 flood event and involves drainage structures, gravel re-sheeting, formation grading, shoulder regrading, replacing culverts, and pavement repairs.
Since November 2021, more than 7,600 temporary emergency repairs have been completed. The Flood Recovery Program also includes permanent repair works which are likely to total more than $250 million and are planned to be completed by mid 2025.
