Project Description

Powerlink provides high voltage electricity network services throughout Queensland. They own and operate large network of transmission assets that provide critical services to millions of customers.

The Project Management Office’s function under the Infrastructure Delivery division, monitors project performance for the delivery of PLQ’s regulated and non-regulated project works.

Services Provided

  • Collaboration with project managers and other stakeholders to develop and maintain integrated project schedules. This included earned value establishment and management, resource allocation, baselining, and monthly progress status.
  • Improve the robustness of the scheduling function in the program.
  • Prepare the organisation for delivery of several upcoming major projects which will require an increased focus on schedule development and tracking.
  • Provide guidance to project managers and other stakeholders on best practices for schedule development, tracking, and reporting.
  • Identify potential issues and risks related to project schedules and work with project teams to develop effective solutions and mitigate risks.
